Heyo!
I’m currently in my third year of - optimistically - 5 at Case Western Reserve University pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. I work on the development and evaluation of biomimetic stimulation paradigms for restoring sensation in upper limb amputees with Dr. Emily Graczyk. Before starting at Case, I obtained my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arizona where I worked on the development of wireless, battery-free, ultrathin and flexible electronics in Dr. Philipp Gutruf’s lab.
This website was started in 2021 and didn’t go anywhere for a while but I’m now hoping to use it to document my journey through the PhD and through other passions in life.
Aviation
I had always had a passion for aviation - a father of a friend who flew F-16’s for NATO inspired this at an early age. It rivaled my passion for working in the field of prosthetics but just never really felt reachable until 2021 when I was named the University of Arizona Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) Scholar. I decided that time there was no better time than then to start so on September 2, 2021 I took my first flight at a local Part 61 school in Marana, Arizona.
I earned my PPL on June 15, 2022 and have been exploring the skies ever since. I’ve earned a few aviation badges along the way like my tailwheel endorsement and CFI spin endorsement and am currently working on my instrument rating for all the cloudy days here in Ohio.
Home Office and Personal Projects
In my free time I like to tinker with things, build models and design devices. Here’s a little log of things I’m doing with no explanation. Check out my Projects page for more details!
